Keana: The way I wrote when I entered my senior year in the 8Th grade was that I didn't like writing more than a paragraph a day. It was like as the years went on from 3rd grade on I wrote less. In the 2Nd grade I use to write like 2 pages for a project. But, now in the beginning I was lazy. I use to write in my journal less than a paragraph and I always summarized what I read instead of adding thoughts, opinions etc....with only a little part of what I read about the book. Now I write more than I did before for example now I can write page without a problem. Why?All because Mr.Locker insisted on writing 5 paragraphs mostly all the time to get ready for the test also so we can learn how to write. (As if We didn't. LOL.) Anyways now I write with transitions and examples and other things like that. I changed as a writer BIG time. And I'm glad that I did so I can be better for high school. All thanks to Mr. Locker over working us =( . Just kidding at least he did it for a reason =).

Jeickson:
Now I'm going to write about how I as a writer grew up on my writing skills. Back in September when my class use to write about the book they read I started writing my first
writing reflection. First I didn't know how to start. Then I just started writing any writing response that made sense. Months had passed and I think as a writer I grew on my writing. I grew on my writing by adding questions, adding my own opinion about the book, also adding opinion on what's going to happen next. Then I started adding my thoughts about my books. Now again I accomplished my mission that my humanities teacher taught me. Now in the last month of school I'm proud of myself cause i have really grew on my writing. So that's how I grew on my writing through out the whole 8th grade year.

Through 8th Grade of J-Kiki

Keana:
The way I felt about reading in September was like reading is what ill do on my spare time. Now the way I feel about reading is that I like to read most of the time. It changed I think is because Mr.Locker has some books that is just so interesting sort of like a "page turner". Some books he has I couldn't put down most are:New Moon by Stephenie Meyer and White Is For Magic. The way I decide how to pick a book is by the cover. I know the saying "don't judge a book by its cover". But when i do those books are really interesting. I also read the blurs and I ask my friends who read the book if it's good.
Jeickson:
Back in September to now how I changed in my reading was that in September i use to skim through the pages, I didn't make pictures in my head. Also I didn't ask myself questions in my mind. Like what's going to happen next. Now I know when to stop
and think about what's going to happen next. I know how to make pictures in my head while reading my book. Also I know how to ask questions in my mind. Back in September I use to read slow, now I think I
